Coach Roshe Hepburn begins his first full season with the Mustangs as the Outside Linebackers/Assistant Strength Coach.

During his first season with the Mustangs, the linebackers collected over 250 tackles, 11.5 sacks and an interception. Jerald Hines was second on the team in both tackles (61) and sacks (8.5), while recording an interception.

Hepburn, a native of Orlando, Fla., earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration at Graceland University in 2008 and a Masters of Education from Central Methodist University in 2011, he will be in charge of the outside linebackers and the assistant strength coach at Western New Mexico. While at Graceland, Hepburn was a three-year starter at safety and was a team captain in 2006 and 2007 for the Yellow Jackets. He was the Heart of America Athletic Conference Defensive Player-of-the-Year in 2005. Hepburn was a First-Team All-American in 2005, and earned honorable mention All-America honors in 2006 and 2007, while also being a First-Team All-HAAC selection three times in his career. While at CMU Hepburn was responsible for the defensive backs, coaching seven all-conference athletes and one First-Team All-American. In the two seasons, Hepburn spent at CMU the pass defense improved tremendously, from the 38th ranked pass defense in 2010 to the 7th ranked pass defense in 2011, giving up only 145 yards per game.
