SILVER CITY, N.M. — Western New Mexico Women's Basketball has officially released its 2025–26 schedule, featuring a competitive non-conference slate and a full lineup of Lone Star Conference matchups at Drag's Court.
The Mustangs open the season with an exhibition game at UTEP on November 11, before tipping off the regular season at the Conference Challenge, hosted by New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, N.M. WNMU will face Fort Lewis College on November 14 and New Mexico Highlands on November 15.
WNMU returns home for the first time on November 22 to host New Mexico Highlands at Drag's Court in Silver City.
Following their season-opening tournament, the Mustangs will travel to Denver for the MSU Denver Classic on November 25–26, where they'll take on MSU Denver and UC-Colorado Springs.
The Mustangs will play nine home games during Lone Star Conference (LSC) play, highlighted by matchups against West Texas A&M, Eastern New Mexico, Cameron, Oklahoma Christian, and Texas A&M International. January will be the busiest home month for WNMU, featuring five home games as conference play hits full stride.
The regular season concludes with Senior Weekend, beginning February 19 against St. Edward's, followed by Senior Day on February 21 versus St. Mary's.
The Mustangs, led by Head Coach Brenda Nichols, look to build momentum this season and make their mark in the Lone Star Conference.
