Josh Pace has announced six new signees for the 2023-24 basketball season. The Mustangs will return most of last years team with eight returners.
Silvia Blanco (Madrid, Spain/IES Gerardo Diego):Â 6"0 G/F | Junior | Madrid, Spain |Transfer from Texas A&M InternationalÂ
"We are very excited to have Silvia join our program.  Silvia is an excellent 3pt shooter with length and size.  She also has the versatility to play multiple positions on the offensive end, and guard multiple positions on the defensive end. Transferring in to us from a LoneStar Conference school, she has familiarity and experience in our league.  Very happy to have her with us."

Nxerro Maluw (Grand Prairie, TX/South Grand Prairie High School): 6'0 F |Junior | Grand Prairie, Texas |Transfer from Ouachita Baptist University
"We are very excited to have Nxerro join our family!  Nxerro will bring size, rebounding, energy and depth to our program.  She is a very good defensive rebounder and her size and athleticism will be welcomed.  She has a very good mid-range shot and will be a low post presence.  We are looking forward to her continued development."

Jade Goynes (Fort Worth, TX/North Crowley High School):Â Â 5'10 F | Junior | Ft Worth, Texas |Transfer from East Texas Baptist University
"We are very happy to have Jade here with us in Silver City.  Jade is a talented basketball player with a scoring mentality and offensive presence.  She is coming to us from East Texas Baptist University, where she was an all-conference honorable mention player her sophomore year and made the all-freshmen team her freshmen year.  She is also a good rebounder and defender.  We are happy to have her here as well."

Kiana Ortiz (Tucson, AZ/Palo Verde High School):Â 5'6 G | Junior | Tucson, Arizona | Transfer from Culver-Stockton College
"Kiana is coming to us from a very good NAIA program in Culver-Stockton College.  She is capable of making shots and finishing at the rim.  She is also a willing facilitator and is willing to making the right play on the offensive end.  She brings depth to our guard position and her experience contributing to a winning program will help us as we prepare for the LoneStar Conference.  We are very happy to have Kiana here."

Joslyn Montez (Las Cruces, NM/Centennial High School):Â 5'6 G | Freshmen | Las Cruces, New Mexico | Incoming Freshman from Centennial High School
"Joslyn comes to us from Centennial High School in Las Cruces, New Mexico.  She led New Mexico High School Basketball in 3pt field goals made her senior year.  Her shooting ability will contribute to our offense immediately.  She is also capable of making plays for her teammates.  We are looking forward to her growth and development."

Love Troupe (/Marquette High School):Â 5'10Â Â C | Junior | St Louis, Missouri, | Transfer from Mesa Community College
"Love comes to us from a very good junior college program.  She is a very good athlete that defends and rebounds at a high level.  She is very versatile on the defensive end capable of guarding guards and post players.  On the offensive end she can finish around the rim and is a very good offensive rebounder.  We are looking forward to Love's development."
