SILVER CITY, NM – The high energy first half, wasn't enough for Lady Mustangs as No. 1 Lubbock Christian rallies in the Rip Griffin Center winning 75-39. Olivia Lee (Peoria, AZ/Cactus HS) led the charge for the Mustangs bucketing 7pts and boarding 11 rebounds. 

"Getting the opportunity to practice and play games versus this high level team helped us prepare" said Head Coach Josh Pace.

After tough loss just a night ago, the Mustangs were not phased. In the first quarter, WNMU lead the whole time, ending the quarter 15-13.and shot 43%. The second quarter the Mustangs were flat and Lubbock Christian's Emma Middleton took charge scoring 12 of her 16pts in the half. She would go on to end the night with 22pts, 5 rebs, and 2 ast.

The Lady Chaps ended the first half up 30-20 and didn't look back. The Mustangs had 29 turnovers and LCU capitalized scoring 34 points on those turnovers. "This Lubbock Christian team will test anyone. They are number 1 for a reason" said Pace.

The Mustangs rebounded the ball well, nabbing 31 on the night.

The Lady Mustangs will be headed to Canyon, TX, playing against No. 5 West Texas A&M at 2:00pm CT.
