Silver City, N.M – The Western New Mexico Volleyball team is honored to announce senior, outside hitter, Bria Augustine (Bellflower, CA/Mayfair High School) has been named Lone Star Conference Second Team All-Conference on Wednesday evening. 
 
"Congratulations Bria! She has always been a highlight reel as an attacker and she keeps doing her thing there," mentioned Head Coach Holly Watts.
 
Bria Augustine (Bellflower, CA/Mayfair High School) has been with WNMU since 2018 and has been a huge asset to the Mustang offense. During the 2021 volleyball season, Augustine led the team in total kills with a total of 286 with a .139 hitting percentage. She appeared in all 89 sets and scored 316 points for the Mustangs. Augustine also led the team in digs raking up 258 with an average of 2.90 digs per set. The California native had the most serving receptions with 27. As for blocking, Augustine averages 0.19 blocks per set and had a grand total of 17 blocks all season. She was also the third highest on the team for serving aces ending the season with 19 aces.
 
"Her biggest improvement has been her ball control with us counting on her heavily for her serve receive and defense. We are looking forward to her return as a Mustang super senior, next fall," concluded Coach Watts.
