Visiting UC-Colorado Springs made good on the first half of their 11-hour bus ride Friday as they kept WNMU winless in RMAC action at Drag's Court. The Mountain Lions defeated Western 64-46 to stay in the playoff hunt as Western lost its 17
th game of the season. UCCS is 11-9 overall and 6-8 in league play.
Statisicly, it was more of the same for the Mustangs as their shooting has been ice-cold of late. Western connected on just 22.6 percent of their field goal attempts, while getting out-rebounded 52-38. UCCS shot 41 percent from the floor.
The Mustangs trailed 36-19 at the half and played the visitors almost even in the second half, but the damage was done in the first half.

Kassie Scott (El Paso, TX/Coronado High School) had a solid night, ringing the register for 17 points.
The Mountain Lions were led by Danielle Brown, who connected for 18. Abby Kirchoff scored 11 as all but one of UCCS' players hit the scorebook.
The Mustangs will host CSU-Pueblo Saturday at 5:30pm. The men's game will follow.
