Same place, same time, same matchup, different date, but still the same outcome. The visiting Oklahoma Panhandle State University Lady Aggies (13-10, 6-2) were just too much for the WNMU Lady 'Stangs (2-17, 1-6) to fight off, as they fell 79-74.
With just about five minutes remaining the two locked at 64, but a three-point play the old fashion way by Nina Klueff gave the Lady Aggies a 67-64 advantage and never went down again.
Klueff led OPSU's offensive pursuits with 24 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals. Other Lady Aggies in double-digits were Sarah Furgeson with 12, Bridgett Boykin 18, and Brandi Lewis 12.
Tannesia Manley paced the Lady 'Stangs by leading all scoreres with 29 points. She finished with 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Sophomore Crystal Smith pitched 13 points and 5 boards. Whitney Card had 11 points in the losing effort.
The team will take the court again next Wednesday and Thursday when they will play at Saint Mary's University in San Antonio, TX.
