WNMU senior women's basketball student-athlete
Dana Alexander (Fort Worth, TX, Arlington Heights High School, Kilgore College; East Texas Baptist University) has been named the RMAC Women's Basketball West Division Player of the Week, the RMAC announced Monday. This is WNMU's first Player of the Week honor this year.
Alexander led the team in shooting percentage (15-23, .650), free throw percentage (10-13, .760), blocks (five), and points (20.0 per game) in two home wins over Western State and Mesa State. She was just behind
Audra Major (Socorro, NM/Socorro High School) in rebounds per game with 7.5. On Thursday against the Mountaineers, she led the team to victory with a 23-point, nine-rebound performance. Against the Mavericks, she posted 17 points, six caroms, three assists, and one steal.
