It takes a pretty exceptional kid (and even more exceptional parents) to be successful and happy while being a great distance from home. Mom's cooking, laundry service and purse full of $20 bills will really be missed after a couple of weeks (no matter how much you think you're ready to get away from home). In any case, think about it. It's probably the most significant factor you'll have in selecting a college."
