WNMU freshman men's tennis student-athlete Rodrigo Almeida (Arapongas, Brazil, Nene Lourenco High School) has been named the RMAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week, the RMAC announced Wednesday. 

Almeida was perfect this weekend. In singles, he went 3-0 at the no. 3 spot and 1-0 at the no. 2 spot as Western New Mexico defeated CSU-Pueblo, Nebraska-Kearney and Colorado Christian. In two out of those four matches, he didn't lose any games. In doubles play, Almeida went 3-0 playing on the no. 2 team and 1-0 playing at no. 3 spot. Almeida is the third Mustangs tennis player to earn Player of the Week honors this year.
