WNMU sophomore men's basketball student-athlete Chad Carter (Tucson, AZ, Ironwood Ridge High School) has been named the RMAC Defensive Player of the Week, the RMAC announced Monday.

Carter continues to put a stamp on the RMAC. With a game-high 25 points in the win over Fort Lewis, Carter also swatted away three Skyhawk shots and grabbed nine rebounds. The next night versus Adams State he had two blocks in just 19 minutes of play. That night he finished with two rebounds. On the weekend, he averaged 2.5 blocks a game while grabbing 5.5 rebounds. In the last seven games, Carter has recorded at least one block in each contest. In the last five, he has had at least two.
