Adams Adds Another

Head Coach Greg Adams

Head women's basketball coach Greg Adams announced another signee for the program last week. Julia Tani will join the Mustangs this fall.

From North Hollywood, California, Tani is a First Team All-Santa Cruz League selection. The 5-7 guard helped lead Bellarmine-Jefferson High School to a 25-7 record, league championship, and a berth in the Division IV-A semifinals during her senior season. During this season, she averaged 7.2 points and 3.3 steals a game. She was voted All-California Interscholastic Federation, All-Area Burbank, and All-Daily News.

During her junior year at Bellarmine-Jefferson, Tani finished with a 34-1 record and won the CIF Southern Section and California State Championship. She was named Second Team All-League and All-Area Honorable Mention. She served as the team captain in 2008 and 2009.

“Julia has a great basketball IQ and understands the game at full speed. I expect her to make an impact on both ends of the floor next season,” comments Adams. “She processes the things that we look for in recruits. She's committed to our team concept, is a self-starter who cares about her academic performance, gives a full effort at all times, and is a person of good character.”

“Julia is an exciting player to watch and I'm happy to get an opportunity to coach her at WNMU,” Adams concludes.
