The Mustang basketball team will add a 6-8, 210-pound freshman to their lineup for the 2010 season. Brelan Berry is from Basha High School in Chandler, Arizona, head coach
Mark Coleman announced today.
At Basha, Berry played forward and center. He currently holds the single game block and rebound record with 15 blocks and 19 rebounds. He finished the 2009-2010 season averaging 13.2 points, 1.6 blocks, and 8.9 rebounds per game while shooting .730 from the floor.
Berry was awarded the Most Improved Player award his freshman and junior year. The four years Berry attended Basha he played varsity basketball.
“Brelan brings more size to our roster. He has very good hands and footwork for his size and is capable of scoring with either hand,” comments Coleman. “He also has a great work ethic, and his best basketball is in front of him.”
