Three Mustangs took up 16 spots on the All-RMAC teams, the conference announced Wednesday evening.
Gordon Webb (Malta, MT, Malta High School) was named to the First Team,
Scott Crichton (Dalgety Bay, Scotland, Inverkeithing High School) earned Second Team honors, and
Joon Lee (Seoul, South Korea, Guildford Park Secondary) landed on the Third Team.
Teams were selected by the players' combined score in the RMAC Fall and Spring Championships.
The fall tournament was reduced from three rounds to one due to inclement weather. The Mustangs were led by Lee who shot two-above 74, which put him in fifth place in the field of 50. Webb finished tied for 18th with a 77. Crichton posted a 79, good for a tie at 29th.
Western New Mexico University won the Spring Championship yesterday with a team score of 873. Led by co-medalist Webb's one-under par final round (71-70-71 – 212), the Mustangs captured the title by four strokes over the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs.
Crichton tied for fifth place with a pair of 73s in the final two rounds. He finished with a 218. Lee came in fourth for the Mustangs, shaving off multiple strokes each round he played (80-76-73 – 229).
The overall RMAC Men's Golf Championship went to UCCS. Combining the score of the 2009 RMAC Men's Golf Fall Championship and the spring championship, the Mountain Lions edged WNMU by five strokes.
