The Western New Mexico men's tennis program has cracked the top 45 in the nation according to the NCAA/ITA poll Wednesday. The Mustangs rank 40th overall.

“There is a sense of determination that continues to rise, and we know it becomes harder to hold onto a ranking and build on it than it does to actually get into the ranking system,” says head coach Erik Burton. “We want to improve every step of the way this year. Our results have been impressive against the competition that we face.”

Both the men and women continue their season at the University of California – San Diego March 10th.
