Senior Natali Murdock (Phoenix, AZ, Pinnacle High School) adds another award to her belt. Murdock was named to the All-RMAC First Team, the RMAC announced Tuesday afternoon. Fellow teammate Angelina Pulu (Long Beach, CA, Robert A. Millikan High School) was placed on the Third Team.

Heading into the RMAC Tournament as the sixth seed, Murdock has played every match and every set this season. Averaging 4.26 kills per set, she has made her presence known on the outside. She currently leads the RMAC in kills per set. Murdock also averages 4.80 points per set when you take into account kills, service aces, and blocks to conference in this category. The senior leads the team in service aces. She has posted 23 so far this season.

In October, Murdock was placed on the All-Academic Second Team. She was also named RMAC Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week twice this season. Her most recent Player of the Week award was for her play at home against Fort Lewis and Mesa State. Murdock produced a match-high 22 kills to defeat Fort Lewis 3-1. She then hammered a match-high 16 kills the next night, hitting .316 in the three sets over Mesa State. She also recorded three service aces. She finished with 5.43 kills and 6.21 points per set on the weekend.

Newcomer and outside hitter Pulu averages 3.39 kills per set, good for second on the team and sixth in the RMAC. She also produces solid numbers on defense. Averaging 3.69 digs per set, Pulu leads the team in defensive stops and ranks 10th in the RMAC.

Pulu finishes the regular season with only five matches of less than 10 digs and only seven matches with less than 10 kills. Her best performance of the year came in the win over UC-Colorado Springs. She produced 20 kills on 48 attempts and notched 17 digs.

University of Nebraska-Kearney senior Jeri Walkowiak was named the 2010 RMAC Volleyball Player of the Year. This is the second time Walkowiak has earned RMAC Player of the Year honors (2008). She is the third Lopers to be named player of the year more than once (Erin Gudmundson and Danielle Shum).

Nebraska-Kearney's Katlyn Heiserman was the RMAC Defensive Player of the Year while Cola Svec of the Lopers was the RMAC Setter of the Year. This is the third time Svec has earned this award (07, 08) which is the most of any player in RMAC history.

Regis' Christina Henzgen was awarded the Freshman of the Year. She is the second Rangers player to be the RMAC's top freshman (Chelsea Pavlik 06).

Nebraska-Kearney's Rick Squiers was nodded as RMAC Coach of the Year for the seventh time in his career. Squiers was named as the RMAC Centennial Celebration All-Time Volleyball Coach as well.

Head volleyball coaches from each of the 14 institutions voted for the 2010 All-RMAC Volleyball teams. They could not vote for players from their own school.
