WNMU's Kristina Barr (San Diego, CA, La Costa Canyon High School, Central Community College) tabbed a place on the 2009 Daktronics, Inc. Softball All-Central Region First Team. Barr, because she landed on the First Team, will automatically advance to the All-America ballot.

The composition of the All-Region teams were two teams (1st and 2nd) comprised of 13 persons based on position breakdown (1 C, 1 1B, 1 2B, 1 3B, 1 SS, 3 OF, 1 DP, 1 UT, 3 P). The regional teams were selected by the sports information directors of each school in the region.

Barr played and started in every game this season (48-48) at shortstop. She finished the regular season towards the top of nearly every RMAC hitting category. She was second in batting average with .480, third in slugging percentage at .908, number three in on base percentage with .534, third in hits with 73, third in homeruns with 16, and number two in total bases with 138. Defensively, Barr finished third in the RMAC in assists with 114.

In addition, Barr led the Mustangs in nearly every category including 50 RBIs.
