WNMU freshman
Nikolina Vukadin (Pale, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sredwjoskolski Centar Pale), the Mustang's No. 1 singles player, was selected to the RMAC Second Team All-Conference team, the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced Thursday.
Stephanie Shelton (Douglas, AZ, Douglas High School) and
Izelle Olivier (Schweizer Reneke, South Africa, Wolmaransstad High School) were also honored with Third Team slots.
Vukadin posted a record of 7-12 at No. 1 singles, while Shelton shifted from No. 5 to No. 4 singles. Shelton's combined regular season record was 7-13. Olivier finished the regular season with a 5-14 record.
Both Shelton and Olivier also played doubles but not together. Shelton was paired with
Emily Lampman (Kerrville, TX, Tivy High School) and posted a 7-9 win-loss total. Olivier was partnered with freshman
Jamie McKenna (Carlsbad, NM, Carlsbad High School). Together they recorded a 6-8 record.
In years' past, the RMAC selected one all-conference recipient per position (No. 1 singles, No. 2 singles, etc.). This season, the all-conference teams were changed to include the conference's top players, regardless of position.
